Spider Brain!
Some things are so astonishing that they completely undo you.

Recently, I was helping one of the adorable little 4 year-olds in one of my science camps when she suddenly went wide-eyed and pointed at the table. “SPIDER!” I looked at the table and saw nothing. “THERE!” She exclaimed. I looked again…Huh? Then I saw it. The smallest spider I’ve ever seen.
I’ve seen small spiders, but this was ridiculous. I couldn’t see its legs and could barely see its body. It must have been the size of a tenth of a grain of sand and it was zooming all over a postage-stamp-sized piece of the table.
How in the world does God make a speck out-maneuver the most computerized machines on earth? It’s a wonder to me. How does God make a speck smaller than we can see make a child’s brain that scientists now realize does more complex functions per second than the entire world-wide web? It’s completely beyond our understanding.
Three thousand years ago, David said, “Know the God of your father, and serve Him with a whole heart and a willing mind; for the LORD searches all hearts, and understands every intent of the thoughts. “ The beauty of this is that– though no one else sees the hidden efforts you make to please Him, God does…and He–not anyone else–is a GREAT rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.
