Insects That Shake The Scientists!

Insects shock neuroscientists. They don’t have near the amount of brain wiring to accomplish what they do. A dragonfly or an ant, for instance, can pull off movements that all the power of our greatest super-computers can’t copy. It’s like their tiny brain centers are of an other-universe technology.
When you think of it, we are too. Our brain is constantly monitoring all our body processes, detecting the environment through billions of sensors, storing lifetime memories, tying them together in unknown ways, thinking of varied things, enabling us to communicate with others and understand what they are trying to get across to us and thousands of other things at the same time. It’s all so astonishing–way too wonderful for us.
The Being who created the too-small-to-see code that builds this beyond Star Wars neuro-network between our ears says many profound things to us. One thing He speaks is to forgive–for others’ sake, and also for ours. He promises: “I WILL work all for your profound good by the greatness of My power which infinitely surpasses every other power.”
I struggled for some time to completely forgive someone, a believer, whom I’d known for less that 5 years. This beloved person effectively deceived me and took $30,000 that should have been mine. Forgiving was easy until hardships began to hit as a direct result of the things done. As many months of consequences hit where God didn’t send a great miracle to fix the situation, I struggled to trust the Lord. But, I eventually found a decent measure of freedom, though negative effects were still present.
One morning a year later I had a shocking realization some time after a series of different momentous things happened to me: Two of the greatest miracles of my life occurred as a direct result of the effects of this deceitful action. If I’d had the money, I would have been in a different place and would have missed the most profound moves of God in my life. The loss of the money created dozens of hardships for me, but it also had a direct effect on putting me in the right place at the right time to receive mountains of blessings that far exceeded the difficulties.
The God of neuro-networks came through for me, and I finally understood what truly great things He was aiming at. How incredibly small the money became. In fact, God far more than quadrupled the loss of that money as a direct result of the hassles the loss of that money caused. BUT, the direct blessings that came and are still coming mean so much more than the money ever could to me.
"Be kind to one another, compassionate, forgiving each other, just as God in Christ also has forgiven you." - Ephesians 4:32
"For momentary, light affliction is producing for us an eternal weight of glory far beyond all comparison." - 2 Corinthians 4:17
I realize that this verse is talking about eternity, that problems we go through here work in us things that profoundly affect eternity…far more than we can fathom. BUT, if you look at the lives of people in the Bible from Job to Joseph to Esther to Paul to Peter, you see something important.
God does promise to cause problems and hassles in our lives to work for our good. Just as when God looked over His creation and said that the astonishing beauty of His creation was good, even so, the good He works for us is very good in this life.
