Hearing Plants
This is shocking!

Not only can plants ‘hear’, but they can rapidly respond to certain sounds,
When a recording of the sound of a bee buzzing nearby was played back to evening primrose flowers, they began producing sweeter nectar. Within only three minutes from first sounds of buzzing, the sugar concentration in the nectar increased by 20%.
Producing high-grade nectar all the time would use a large amount of the plant’s resources. So a way for timing the production of better nectar for the bees to a time when bees are present would be great. And God pulled it off!
God, similarly, has surprising ways of meeting our needs and hopes. He often comes through in ways that are completely unexpected. This is why dependence upon Him is so needed.
In 2 Samuel 5, David was crowned King of Israel. David’s enemies heard of it and came after him. In verse 19, David inquired of the LORD, saying, “Shall I go up against the Philistines? Will You hand them over to me?” The LORD said to David, “Go up, for I will certainly hand the Philistines over to you.”
So David went up and defeated his attackers. But then, look what happens in verse 23 when they come after him again.
“David inquired of the LORD, who answered, ‘Do not march straight up, but circle around behind them and attack them in front of the balsam trees. As soon as you hear the sound of marching in the tops of the balsam trees, move quickly, because this will mean that the LORD has marched out before you to strike the camp of the Philistines.’ “
This is a pretty odd instruction; waiting for marching sounds coming from the tops of trees. But David didn’t do what He did before; He did what God instructed him to do. And he again put his enemies to flight.
You never know what God’s next moves may be. This is why depending upon God always is so important.
Part of “truly relying on the Lord” (Isaiah 10:20) is to look to Him for help in every act of creativity and every interaction with others. This reliance on the God of all beauty opens the door for help from Him. “Do not fear; I will help you” becomes more and more an hourly reality as we do truly rely on God as Jesus did with His Father.

“Do not fear, for I am with you; Do not be afraid, for I am your God. I will strengthen you, I will also help you, I will also uphold you with My righteous right hand.” - Isaiah 41:10
GOD is saying; “Do not be anxious and be looking all about you; Your help comes directly from Me, the Maker of the earth and the universe!”
