3000-Mile Shouts!

The distance from New York to Britain is 3,316 miles! Whales can “talk” to each other at even further distances than this. They can be off the shore of Britain and communicate to whales off the shore of New York! Their sound blasts are louder than a jet engine! God ingeniously designed this wild ability for whales because the oceans of the earth are so large. Whales are often by themselves and they have to have ways to find each other. God gave them the ability by devising a very clever means to do it; super-loud blasts that travel thousands of miles!

Are you trying to do something where you really need God’s wisdom in order to succeed? You are right in the place that James 1:5 talks about: “If any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to you.”

When you need God’s cleverness and creativity to succeed, God loves to help. He has answers that can bring victories in degrees you never imagined. He can help you to help others in ways that will thrill you–and even shock you.

Remember how God helped Joseph with the interpretation of Pharaoh’s dream? God knew what was needed to pull the plan off that He had in mind for Joseph and He supernaturally revealed it to him. This supernatural wisdom turned the tide for Joseph, his family and a whole lot of other people.

Daniel needed help. It was life or death. He asked God for information he desperately needed. God gave it and Daniel was lifted into a place to help others greater than any other in his lifetime. The desperate situation turned into a doorway to open the impossible because God gave unknowable information.

Joseph and Daniel both knew that God was the source of His new things and not their own ability or cleverness. This is an extremely peaceful way to live–and it brings God in His goodness into our days in whole new levels!

“To You, God of my fathers, I give thanks and praise, for You have given me wisdom and power. YOU have made known to me what we requested of You…” - Daniel 2:23

Daniel took time to acknowledge that God was the origin of His wisdom and he worshipped God–not himself–as a result.
